Experience
I volunteered with the Queen's University International Centre's English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. I would have weekly meetings with international students and help them practice their English through discussion. I have also taught introductory ESL classes at Saudi Aramco's Community Education program in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. I would compile lesson plans as well as homework, evaluate student participation and attendance, and provide final marks for those in my classes. I have experience tutoring ESL in that community as well. I have taught beginner piano lessons too. I provided the instrument, books, and homework for my students and evaluated their assignments and engagement in their weekly lessons. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for learning, whether I'm the one who's doing it or if I'm helping others to do so.
