Alex M.
Private tutor in Guelph, Canada
Education
PhD Mathematics, University of Ottawa, 2012. MSc, University of Guelph, 2005. BSc Mathematics, University of Guelph, 2003.
Experience
Four years experience as a university lecturer (full time) and a similar amount part-time. Courses taught were mostly first year calculus and variants. Some have included pre-calc, some were specialized for certain programs. Guelph students may wish to know that I taught first year calculus for biology students. I excel at teaching introductory calculus. Though it has been a while, I have been very successful at teaching linear algebra. Many of the courses I have taught have been university equivalents to graduate level high school courses.

Hobbies
Maybe some random trivia would be helpful here. - Married, getting close to our tenth anniversary. She's a Librarian by training and inclination. - Most of my favorite books are cookbooks. My two top favorites are out of print. - My mom also has a PhD (statistics, U of Adelaide, Australia). - I have a favorite opera (Marriage of Figaro, Mozart) but also appreciate some sub-genres of metal. - The top place I want to visit some day is Venice. After that come a few regions around Adelaide (the Clare valley, mostly).
